These short weeks have a been a blast. On Monday we went Sukkah Hoping in the neighborhood. Wednesday and Thursday we hosted the 4 year old students from the preschools to build their own Sukkah Cookie. We will have a full week next week with Picture Day on Tuesday. October 24th is our Curriculum Night I hope that everyone will be able to attend. As always I hope that everyone has a great weekend.

I hope that everyone is getting to spend some quality time with their friends and family over the holidays. We have managed to squeeze a lot of work and play into the short weeks. I hope that you are as proud of your kids as I am of them. They have been doing an amazing job They are so kind and gentle with their Kindergarten buddies. I hope that everyone had a great week. This week will be our last full week for awhile, so get ready for the holidays. Next week the fifth grade will get to meet their Kindergarten Buddies for the first time this year. We will be meeting with them once a month to do a special activity. I hope that everyone stocked up on their water, bread, milk and eggs….I will be stopping by for French Toast this weekend…. Seriously, I hope that everyone is prepared for what is to come in the next few days. Many of us have family in Florida and we all wish them to be safe through this horrible event. I have been answering several questions from your kids about the hurricane and I am trying to answer them as honestly as possible without causing alarm. Hopefully, we are out of the path but please remain informed and updated on any changes....
We concluded a successful full week of school. The students worked really hard on all their beginning of the year assessments and I am eager to get them started on all that we will be working on this year. To break up the focus needed for testing, I had the students complete several hands-on task. Ask them if you haven’t heard about the Ping Pong Ramp building project. Welcome Back! It was great to see everyone who attended last night’s orientation. I look forward to working with everyone this year! Here are a few snapshots from today. Students were asked to create whatever they wanted using recycled materials. I was blown away by their imaginations.
I hope everyone had a great start to May. Fifth grade has been busy preparing for the CTP4 next week. Just a reminder we will be testing Monday- Thursday in the mornings so it is imperative that everyone arrive on time. I look forward to seeing those that can make it on Friday May 12th for Special Friends Day. This gives the community a chance to see out students shine in a singing performance as well as some of their work on display in Lerner Hall. Camping is set for Monday May 15th-Wednesday May 17th. We are getting down to the last month of school and everyone is getting excited. We have complete our PBL projects and they look great. We will be focusing on test prep next week and taking the CTP4 the week of the 8th-12th. Our camping trip is set for May 15-17. Please keep in mind that in May we do a lot of practices for Graduation so it is crucial that every student is here everyday. I hope that everyone has a great weekend.
I hope that everyone had a great Pesach break. It was much needed by the students and staff. Today we had a blast with exception of a minor hiccup this morning, at the Concord Mills Speedpark. I hope that everyone has been made aware that the camping trip dates have changed. We will be leaving on Monday May 15th and returning on Wednesday May 17th. Check out our photos below.
Yesterday we had a wonderful time at Pesach Day with stories, food, songs and games. The kids got a chance to learn about Charoset from many different regions. Not only did they get the opportunity to taste a different variety they also got a chance to help make it. YUM!!! Next week we will be conducting the WRAP test. This is our annual writing test. We will be testing on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:15-9:15. Students will not be admitted to class during the testing times. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.
