This is my 17th year as the CJDS art teacher! I have lived in Charlotte for more than 25 years and am married to a native Charlottean, Gary (yes, one of the very few natives). My two children, Scott (26) and Emily (24), are proud graduates of CJDS and the Jewish Preschool on Sardis. When I am not teaching, I’m usually reading, needle pointing, or knitting. Under duress, you can find me at the gym. I have an A.B. from Smith College with a major in biochemistry and a minor in art history, and a M.S.P.H. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in environmental science.
