A teacher grows in Brooklyn!

I was born, raised, and educated in Brooklyn, NY. I come from a family of four boys and four girls. Although my seven siblings and I are far from each other when it comes to geography – spread around the world in Holland, France, Nebraska, Michigan, and the Islands of NY – all eight of us are united in our involvement in Jewish education.

I graduated from Beth Rivkah Teacher’s Seminary and shortly afterwards, launched my teaching career.

I’ve always loved sharing my love for Judaism and Jewish knowledge with children. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to work with children, in Canada, France, New Jersey, New York, and more recently in the great state of North Carolina.

As some wise person once said, “Let my people KNOW.” I feel that the most precious gift that parents can give their children is a love and appreciation for their heritage and that is best accomplished by giving them a great Jewish education.

I’m privileged to have been involved from the very first kindergarten class that was the foundation of the school. I had the opportunity to learn and grow under Mariashi’s wise guidance – to learn to strive for excellence.

One of the many pleasures I have derived is to see our alumni growing into proud ambassadors for their people.

My husband, Rabbi Binyomin Weiss, and I have been blessed with a large family who has managed to both keep us young and turn us into grandparents!
