Kathy Otte

Kathy has a Master’s degree in Education from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and this will be Kathy’s 7th year teaching in private schools. For the last two years Kathy has been working for an educational publishing company writing curriculum and children’s literature. She missed being in the classroom and is thrilled to return! Kathy also is an adjunct college instructor teaching educational coursework such as curriculum design.

She has three children and has lived in Charlotte for nine years. Kathy enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, spending time with her family, and teaching. Helping her students develop an enthusiasm for life-long learning is Kathy’s passion; as she shares her own passion for learning with them. She believes in focusing on the individual needs of the students and involving them in learning through discovery. Kathy embraces the many learning styles of children and is dedicated to challenging each child to fully discover his or her strengths and abilities.
