Mandy DiFilippo

Mrs. Mandy DiFilippo received her Elementary Education K-6 teaching certificate from Queens University of Charlotte. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Disorders, along with a minor in Psychology, from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to CJDS, Mrs. DiFilippo worked in the Charlotte- Mecklenburg school system for three years as a Resource Teacher for children with learning disabilities and as a Teacher Assistant.

During her time at CJDS, Mrs. DiFilippo, has focused on researching and developing curriculum standards at CJDS. She has a passion for working towards academic excellence and believes in high teaching standards. Mrs. DiFilippo dedicates her time to helping every child, whether determining their academic needs or researching information and finding support for children with various special needs. Mrs. DiFilippo wants all children to reach their highest level of potential. All children can learn, but how they learn is the key to their success. Parent, teacher, and school communication is essential to maximizing every child’s learning experience. In addition, parents, teachers, and the school must continually seek to educate themselves in order to have the tools and knowledge necessary to meet every child’s unique set of strengths and weaknesses.

Mrs. DiFilippo moved to Charlotte 11 years ago from Erie, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Ballantyne with her husband, Damian, daughter Malina, and their two cats, Isabelle and Freckles. After work, Mrs. DiFilippo is a dedicated Mommy to Malina. When she has any leisure time, she enjoys reading a variety of genres, exercising, jogging, shopping, and traveling to the beach.
