Yiska Cohen

Morah Yiska Cohen is originally from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She attended the Jewish school there through high school. She then attended Beth Rivkah Teacher’s Seminary in Jerusalem, Israel. After her marriage, Morah Yiska moved to the United States and in 1994 she joined the day school staff. Morah Yiska has been teaching children from kindergarten to high school for the past ten years both in Amsterdam and in Charlotte. This past summer she attended the Schools Attuned seminar, and she is in the process of getting national certification for this program. Morah Yiska and her husband, Rabbi Shlomo Cohen, are involved in Jewish outreach projects and adult education. Their children attend CJDS and The Jewish Preschool on Sardis.
