Channie Weiss

Morah Channie Weiss completed Beth Rivkah Teachers Seminary, Brooklyn, New York, in 1984 and has been educating children of all ages ever since. Channie came to Charlotte in 1986. Anyone who has ever observed Morah Channie in action recognizes that she is a master teacher. In addition to teaching the school’s Hebrew immersion program to Kitah Aleph (First Grade), Morah Channie is also the school’s Judaica Director. In this capacity she is involved in all stages of planning in-class curriculum and extracurricular Judaica programming, such as our annual graduation performance. In addition to her work at the school, Channie enjoys sharing the beauty of Shabbat and holidays with as many people as possible by hosting guests in her home. She is also active in her synagogue, including the Women of Worth group. Morah Channie lives in Charlotte with her husband, Rabbi Weiss, and their eleven children.
